In summer 1970 completed a military long-range precision shooting course. Most of the firing was with 7.62 NATO (7.62x51). However we did spend a day firing what is now the Remington M24 sniper rifle in cal. 300 Win Mag, a variant of the Model 700. It had a syn stock w/glass, Leatherwood scope. These rifles, with match bbls. & custom ammo, were accurate to 1200m in low wind, moderate humidity conditions.
