Ditch the aftermarket mag and stick with the original.

It is not an AK!

If you feel the need for detachable mags then buy an AK.

It is polymer. I have an AK already. I like my AK but I also like my SKS, it shoots real good. I have a 20 round (Tapco) mag just like my 30 round mag, the 20 round works real good but the 30 round does not work so good.

Since you have a 20 that works, compair the two and see what's different. I'd geuss it's the length or one of the locking lugs at the front or back?
If it's something you can't identify send it back for an exchange or replace it with another 20.
I know a couple people who have the 20s and they seem to work fine.

Tapco customer service is real easy to deal with. Just call them up and tell them what's going on. They'll probably give you an RA number right then and there, then all you have to do is send it back to them, and they'll send you a brand new one.

I had a 20-rounder that had one of the lips break off. I had a new in the plastic mag in my hands from them within a week.

You might have one of the defective ones. There was a production period that they actuawaly had ar 15 mags in them instead of the ones that were ment to be. Check to see if the 30 rounder has the same gage spring and compair lengths. Also check to see if it is in the right direction if it is the right gage spring.
