Default Walther Pistol Parts?

I'm looking for an internal part that broke - not sure where to begin as all the places I'm searching list accessories, but not internal parts.

At least I know why the gun was failing to fire... now how to fix it!

Centerfiresystems.com has a P38 spare parts kit. Everything less the lower receiver and a barrel.

If it's an easy part to replace, call them or email and ask if they can send a replacement. But most likely they will want it returned.

HOLY SCHLA-MOLEY these parts are impossible to find. Calling S&W (Walther America) only gets you a VM

I confirmed I need a sear. I'm half tempted to try to make my own

Hello HC,
Those of us who have been around guns for over half a century recall when gunsmiths made parts as needed. Today's "gun repairmen" simply hang factory or aftermarket parts on a firearm. Sad trend !!!

Since the factory part broke in the first place it was NFG !!! I suspect that you can make a better replacement if you wish to take your time.

Update - after a month of on-again-off-again attempts to phone S&W customer support and getting busy signals, I *finally* got them on the line... $10 for the sear and I'm happy! 800-331-0852

Hopefully this is the only thing this pistol needs... I got it for nearly half price via a face-to-face sale, and I think I know why I got it so cheap It appears the previous owner didn't know how to strip the gun and broke the sear. At least that's my guess... but we'll see soon enough Now I'm going to make all of the recommended tweaks to the pistol and see if it can be the functional pistol it is supposed to be. Then maybe a suppresor for it
