Default What is this gun!?!

A guy I met recently has a S&W .32 auto pistol. I will quote the markings on the top of the slide.

"SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PATENTED
SEPT.13.1910.DEC.13.1910.FEB.28.1911.MAY.2.1916.JU NE.21.1921" *

On the left side it says only "SMITH & WESSON."
On the other side it says "32 AUTO.CTG."
On the left rear of the receiver it shows a S&W trademark symbol.
On the other side of the receiver directly above the trigger it says only "MADE IN U.S.A."

But I think this is a much newer gun because of it's >95% overall condition and the three digit serial number.

I googled this for many hours and only found old stuff. Can someone help me?

I will try to make some pictures. Thanks and GOD bless.

* I type JUNE.21.1921 and it looks that way when I edit it, but then it shows it as JU NE.21.1921, interesting.

He got it as a gift like from his girls dad when he died or some shit. We was just taking it in the woods and working over propane tanks and beer cans with it. I wouldn't feel right about it if I just got it for nickles and dimes though.

I'll tell the guy he has an expired gun thats dangerous and I will recycle it and split the 26 cents it is worth as scrap . Just kidding. It's been my experience that when in this position it is best to be honest and upfront. I'll tell the guy it's value about and then he will probably hook me up with a sweet deal anyhow. No need to burn a bridge when your still fishing from it I guess. Thanks to all and to all a good night!

For Sale For sell!

Ok fellas. It's for sell if there is anyone in or around the Tulsa area. Also I will be at THE gun show this weekend. Would like it sold by then. Also, can trade for arsenal of ~equal value, esp long rifles with big scopes and AR. Thanks and peace.
