Red face winchester model 12 20 gauge..........

a while back, a friend gave me a model 12 to refinish(the barrel was rusted/ pitted to hell, and the stock set looked like it had been through a meat grinder. he asked me to refinish it for him(everything:metal, wood, and a good cleaning). he said he didn't care if it messed the value of the gun up. so i did it. it looks 100% better than it did, but now he wants to trade it to me for something (worth about $250). i am having a tough time deciding, because if i got the shotty, i wold sell it, and i would want to make sure it was worth at least $250. in the pictrures, the light spots on the stock are just reflections, the stock is evenly applied with multiple layers of oil, and 7 overcoats of stock wax. i think ser # is 173XX or 73XX. if there are any firearms appraisers reading this, any help would be great, much appreciated
anyone can reply, thanks
-Kurt
