Default Is it legal to sell a home-built on a folded receiver?

I'd like a reference to fed law if possible. This was raised on another forum and I know I have read something different. Now I'd like the truth.

If you want the truth then get a lawyer educated in federal gun laws. Anything you hear here while possibly accurate could still land you in hot water if it is not exactly right. Why anyone would gamble their legal rights on opinions of anonymous strangers from a web site is a mystery to me. You be far better to use this site for great info on building and to share your love of the hobby not legal advice.

BTW; IMHO, you should not sell a weapon you built on a flat

Thanks for the link. Interesting info.
I'm not using this to build a court case, just to enhance my knowledge base.

Sounds like you get heavily involved when you try to sell homemade stuff.

Not much fun in my opinion. Stay away from that as far as I can, I will.
