A-men to that... I think he realises that he doesn't have the numbers at this point and it would be an embarassing defeat... which makes the 2010 mid-terms even more critical.

No problem - we've got to keep our guard up though and keep the pressure on. There are other tactics that Obama, Holder, Pelosi, and their ilk can use and we have to offer them no safe haven for thier misguided agenda...

Well, the last gun ban under clinton was political SUICIDE for most dems, ushering in the republican , conservative era.
No one is willing to stick their political necks out for this anymore.....

I smell BS...

I would be surprised if they tried anything before the 2010 elections..

They will go for registration first as part of a "deal" or "compromise"...

You could possibly see "assault" rifles registered similar to NFA weapons..

Be real, do you think the people who bitched about assault rifles for the past 20 years are now going to overlook them? they have total control of Washington.
