Default Shipping Handgun

I need ship a handgun to FFL Dealer in VA, but my local USPS said I can't, the other way around is UPS next day AIR, which will cost more, anyone know is true I can't ship handgun with USPS ???

Bluejack use Fed X but you will need a copy of the FFLs license.

Actually, you can. I'e shipped several handguns that way and have had many, many shipped to me that way.

Who's telling you that it's not okay?

There's a nice little guide on shipping firearms i found the other day. Just shipped a shotgun via usps.

Dealer to dealer can ship using USPS (handguns)
Normally you need to send the handgun overnight (2nd day air will work too)
Fedex or UPS

ship it they wont know. My local USPS told me the same thing then I called the ATF. They said I could so I shiped it in the mail. My local lady knew I was a gun guy but she didnt ask what was in the box. If she had I'd of said gun parts which is sorta true. Call your local BATF they will tell you what to do

And what do you put down for the description when filling out the form for insurance ?

And what do you think will happen when TRY to COLLECT on that insurance ?

Odds are it will get there but it isn't work the risk for me.

Depending on what your local FFL charges it may or may not be cheaper for them to ship it for you.
