I love the story of the battle of Athens.
It is legend, and I refer to it often in discussions about the purpose of the Second Amendment, or voter oppression, or other related topics.
I saw that and it was a pretty awesome representation of people standing up against a corrupt system.
"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?" -Thomas Jefferson-
"Our rights come from our humanity and may not be legislated away -- not by a vote of Congress, not by the consensus of our neighbors, not even by agreement of all Americans but one." Judge Andrew P. Napolitano
Thanks , I never know about this until now . After watching it is a reminder of why we have thr 2nd amendment and why the government is trying to take it away.
That is an awesome story. Too bad it may have to be re-enacted due to a government out of control.
There are two kinds of people, those that are prepared, and those that suffer.
I saw that a while back, first I've heard of it. Nothing of it in the history books for sure. I wonder if you get together enough people with balls to do that today?
“The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference- they deserve a place of honor with all that is good.” George Washington
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."
George Washington
That is what needs to happen, thanks for posting it.
