As Rush said cows are so dumb , they blink and think it is the next day. It is not quite that bad , but I have shot around cows since I was a kid and only occasionally will a cow even look up from chewing. The obvious question is why are cows so dumb? I guess because they can be.

I'll tell you how they react. My buddy up in Vermont asked me to help him butcher a cow. Well as I grew up in the city I said ah what the hell I'll give him a hand.
Brings the poor animal in the barn while his buddies Elsie and the crew wait outside. Ties the poor things back legs up and out comes the cannon.
Blamo freakin "SPLAT" rite between the freaking eyes.
Holy mother of God couldn't we have blindfolded the poor thing or something.
The dozen or so cows outside the barn knew what happened, oh they knew.

Cows are dumb UNTIL you go to get them up in the pens. Just step out of the pickup and they know you are up to something.

OK another update!!!!
he is doing great!!!! I used the weight tape on him uesterday and according to the tape he is now about 410 pounds !!!! WOW
I looked at the pics I took of him the first day and he is about 10 to 12 inches taller allready!!! he is also MUCH less a bone rack. he is filling out very well, he will be good to go at christmass.
this is freeknig easy. especialy in the cooler weather, no real serious stink or flies.
