If it's not crashed and runs OK, it sounds like a smokin' deal.
Unsolicited advice: check with your insurance company first. Some places won't insure anything that big, others slap on steep surcharges over 900cc.
Also, depending on whether you're a rider already, some states require either a motorcycle endorsement on your car driver's license, or a separate motorcycle license.
My endorsement got lost during renewal once, and even though I'd had it for 20+ years, the DMV insisted I retake the motorcycle test before they'd correct my license. So I got a new booklet, noted a few changes in the law since I got my original license, took a day off work, and... made about a 30% on the test. Utter failure. Because the test didn't have a single question about vehicles, right or way, motorcycles, or any of that stuff. It was all about DWI penalties, drugs, and some other BS. I'd noted the added material in the handbook, but stupidly didn't study it, since I didn't think it had anything to do with a motorcycle endorsement...
