Anyone think this Panic buying is a good thing?
Anyone think this Panic buying is a good thing? I know it's pain in the ass for most of us..but I was thinking it may very well be a good thing,, one it show's how popular the industry is and helps the economy in some degree. It also shows that gun control is about as popular as a Fart in Church.. people are voting with their pocket books.. b2b

its great if your selling .
I agree it sends a clear message that people want there guns an there not planning on buying a $1800 AR an then turning it in a month later.
It also might give the antis a bigger sense of urgency to pass laws to stop the buying or make an emergency executive order.

If you own a gunshop, sure!
But I'm sure the uncertainty of the future must take a bit out of the fun out of it though.
I Think that 1biggun is correct, the Libs feel even more urgency to get something done quickly.
And yes, there will definitely be an executive order involved..

It's a paine in the a**. I wanted to get a take down 10/22 after christmas but of course all these people just have to buy every damn thing in sight. I wasn't panic buying and Im certainly not new to firearms, just poor timing. I can do without it, its just frustrating. I guess I can understand guys buying up ARs, AKs and 30 round magazines but .22s seem a little silly.

I am always in favor of people buying arms, ammo and mags like there's no tomorrow. The more firearms we get in priavte hands the better. It becomes more and more difficult for the Totalitarians to disarm the people. It warms my heart to see people buying firearms and large amounts of ammo because they are not buying them just so they can turn them in if there's a ban. That should give politicians, bureaucrats and stormtroopers pause if they want to take away arms and violate a very basis fundamental right of the people. This trully is "power to the people".

generally speaking i would say -no.
to me it is a sign that the USA is starting to come apart.
people would not be panic buying anything IF there was no impending illegal constitution evading laws about to be sprung on the public.
this panic buying might be making a lot of money for some right now-- in time the entire firearms industry may well be gone.
never to return.
you think the arms value has gone up?-- they could well be contraband in the future and with ammo on the ban agenda --how much will that ak/ar/hk FN/ ect be worth with NO ammo?? it is going to be an expensive and clumsy club that could land you in the prison system if the wrong people find out you have one!!
even re-loading supplies are on the hit list --you can kiss that good bye too!
we might well be seeing the last gasp of an entire industry where made in the USA was still something. and we will lose the freedom that goes with the ability to arm oneself.
the left wants to destroy the firearms industry as a whole, castrate or eliminate the second and then go after the big game.
if we don't stand our ground NOW the future will be a socialist police/nanny state that does everything for your own good--
the USA will turn into a minimum security prison where were told how free we are every day by the leftist media.
what is the 'big game" ? freedom of speech --the last freedom we have --

It's a good thing for America, but a bad thing for me. I'm on a fixed income... But all in all it's a good thing. Unless this whole thing was orchestrated in D.C. to clog up gun manufacturers.

I actually worry that a few smaller manufacturers will go under once the market settles down again. If there is a glut because all manufacturers ramped up production, once that hits and there could be a period of reduced sales or a smaller profit margin (they probably paid employees overtime during the ramp up). While I'm happy that more people are recognizing the importance of firearm ownership, I'm in with j427x in that it is not a good sign as the government clearly isn't representing the people of the United States like they are sworn to do and instead are off on their own agenda.
