How eerily ironic and frightening your comparison is. My mom has a German friend in her 90's who lived through Hitler. The other day she was saying that Obama is like the reincarnation of Hitler because of the affect he has on people and the destruction he will do to this nation. She said to her this election cycle is just like 1932/1933 Germany all over again and she fears Americans will walk right over the cliff with Obama just like Germans did with Hitler.

HMM the enemy of my enemy is my friend. or I hate clinton so I will donate to her enemy. dont make sense to me .but it will likely hurt his bussiness.

the truth is that many are over looking gun controll issues when they vote this time. when times are tough and people are loosing houses ect. an assult weapon law is not the main concern for Joe Blow with 3 kids and a mortgage. Dont get me wrong I think he he the worst thing this country has seen, but others are sick of how things are. Obama is is telling the sheeple what they want to hear. Shame on the repuplican party for not finding a canidate that can stand out. when you consider that aprox 50% of the people in this country dissagree with the other 50% it tells me there is a real proplem. The gun vote is important but I think this time around to many people are voting for other reasons. I personaly blame the media for slanting evey thing toward the democrates.

Im not defending cooper but it is obvious that he is not happy with the republican canidate. having an opinion dont make him a nazi or a communist it makes him suprisingly an american. What are we by boycoting him??? well for one we are expressing or displeasure of his opinion also an american right. How ever calling him a communist and a Nazi makes no sense he is obviously neither, how ever miss guided he is. A tratror to the gun industery most likely he is. his opinions may cost him his lively hood but he is intitled to them. Dont flame me here I know who I am voting for and its not Obama. im just trying to put a little perspective into this. IMOA COPPER MADE A DUMB DECISION BUT IT WAS HIS TO MAKE communists arn,t allowed to make decissions. Is it enough to stop me from buying one of his guns?? YES.

My mom compares Obama to a slick corporate fuckwad that took over the company she worked for... He ended up getting arrested, tried, AND CONVICTED of felony charges relating to misappropriating funds and laundering, along with a few other charges.

Personally, I can't vote for Oblahma because of his VP, who is a STRONG opponent of:

1. Violent video games. He would have them banned which would go against our (game devs, or kids in their basements acting like them) first amendment rights!!!

2. Firearms. He would have them banned which would go against our (Americans, and kids in their basements acting like them) SECOND amendment rights!!!

Someone who would deliberately erase (or alter) the first two amendments should be hanged, not elected.

The difference between the United States' Constitution and the Russian Federation's (post-USSR Russia) Constitution:

US: The Constitution is law, and ALL MUST OBEY IT!

RF: The Constitution is paper, and it must obey the Prime Minister!!

There is no room in America for commies, fascists, totalitarians, democrats, republicans, socialists, anarchists, monarchists, autochists, hereditary rule - ists, etc. etc. etc... Only Americans! One who is free from ties with political parties, movements, and all that jazz... Someone like Sarah Palin, who is just a soccer (hockey) mom, should be President, although they can be a bit dangerous as well...

Though, I agree with Penn Jillette when he says,
"The role of the president of the United States of America should be so small that we could have Obama, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Nader, McCain, Dubya tour 3, or the goddamn Batman in there, and people will say, 'ah what's the worst he can do?'"

(not a direct quote)

I'm voting third party because I'm sick of this government expansion, I'm sick of this wasteful spending on war, I'm sick of this oil dependency, and most of all I'm sick of these politicians blowing sunshine up everyones' asses just to get votes, and then once they're elected they do fuck-all but meet their own ends!!!

Honestly, I want Ted Nugent to run for President. I know 100 people who'd vote for him the second he announced his candidacy!!!!

Default UPDATE - DAN COOPER ASKED TO RESIGN AS CEO OF COOPER ARMS

In response to the recent article highlighting Dan Cooper’s personal political donations, the board of directors, shareholders and employees of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc would like to issue the following statement.

The employees, shareholders and board of directors of Cooper Firearms of Montana do not share the personal political views of Dan Cooper.

Although we all believe everyone has a right to vote and donate as they see fit, it has become apparent that the fallout may affect more than just Mr. Cooper. It may also affect the employees and the shareholders of Cooper Firearms.

The board of directors has asked Mr. Cooper to resign as President of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc.

Daily operations will continue with the competent staff currently in place in Stevensville, MT producing the finest, most accurate rifles money can buy.

Dan Cooper has spentall of his working life producing the highest quality rifles built here in the USA. He started with nothing but the American Dream and built that into firearms company anyone would be proud of. We firmly believe Dan stands by the2nd amendment.

We wish him all of the best in his future pursuits.

Default The power of the internet

Snippit:

Just minutes after the USA Today broke the story on the Internet, thousands and thousands of gun owners sent angry emails, called and sent boycott letters to Cooper Arms threatening to never purchase any of their firearms again.

Just 48 hours later, this is what appeared on the company website:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

A new blurb from USA Today:

Snippit:

In a statement Thursday to USA TODAY, Cooper said, "There is nothing on this earth I will not do for my employees … we have fought through 20 years of building what I believe to be the finest rifles built in America …When the internet anger turned on these innocent people, I felt it was important to distance myself from the company so as not to cause any further harm."

He said he had resigned the company. He did not address whether he will maintain an ownership stake — except to say, "stronger measures may be forthcoming."

"It's a really McCarthyism at its worst," said Bob Ricker, executive director of the American Hunters and Shooters Association, which has endorsed Obama. "That's really why our organization was formed, was to deal with this craziness. If you're a gun owner, but you have a contrary view to some of these wackos, they will go out and try to destroy you."

"It's very simple supporting the second amendment is like being pregnant. Either you do or you don't,," said Jim Shepherd, who publishes the Outdoor Wire and other newsletters. "Is it right? It just is. It's the way it works. It's absolutism. Dan Cooper laughed at his customers. If that company does not take Cooper out of its name, they're dead."

Black Blade: He done got "[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]". Still, who is this "American Hunters and Shooters Association"? Never heard of them. Probably just some guy in his mom's basement.

Default UPDATE - Nothing Changed?

Update - Dan Cooper is going nowhere?

Snippits:

‘‘Although we all believe everyone has a right to vote and donate as they see fit, it has become apparent that the fallout may affect more than just Mr. Cooper,’’ the company said. - The statement, which was later removed from the front page of the Web site, praised Cooper as someone who ‘‘has spent all of his working life producing the highest quality rifles built here in the USA.

Gun forums, such as [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], were full of angry posts speculating Cooper would continue to hold a financial stake in the company. ‘‘Keep the pressure on!,’’ one person wrote in a posting. A receptionist at Cooper Firearms refused to answer questions about the decision, and said there was no one available who could. She also said she would not release contact information for the board of directors.

The controversy prompted at least one company to review its association with Cooper Firearms.

The Hunting Shack, also of Stevensville, said it was going to review its relationship with Cooper Firearms as an exporter for the gun maker.
‘‘The Hunting Shack and HS Munitions Inc. are proud supporters of Republican candidates John McCain and Sarah Palin for president and vice president and of the (Second) Amendment,’’ the company said in a statement on its Web site. ‘‘Although we must respect the political views of others, we want to ensure that our customers know our stance on their rights to enjoy the shooting sports, whether for hunting, target shooting, self-defense or ‘just because.’ ’’

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]We must remain viligant and not let down our guard for one split second! I hear that someone called and was plaing along saying that this was a disgrace and the receptionist said "Don't worry, he's going nowhere". The company is apparently shining on the public. BOYCOTT!
