Many of the blacks from Dr. Kings generation saw guns as a necessity. Maybe a necessary evil - but still a necessity. One of my black friends told me his father (who is in his 80's now) saw guns as his only means of survival with the prevalence of the KKK in the 50's and early 60's. He believed he had the right to defend himself, but he had an OBLIGATION to defend his family. He saw men like Sharpton and Jackson as opportunists advancing their own agendas. Another good example of MLK's mindset, was the mindset of Sargent Alvin York. Praise the Lord, and Pass the Ammo!

I think MLK would be appalled to see the direction that the race pimps Sharpton, Jackson, Obummer and the rest of the progressive/socialist/communist traitors to our country have taken the race issue. He wouldn't be putting up with their BS. This ain't the dream he had.

I remember the riots of 67 in Cincinnati.Dad (a lifer Marine) had all his firearms layed out and schooled me on them.I think I was 12 or 13 at the time.

I think that he would have been disappointed in how the people that he represented are according to some reports responsible for 80 percent of gun crime. in my opinion the holiday is a token holiday I feel it is put their to apease black people. there have been a lot of other great Americans that have done more for the American people that don't get a holiday.
