When they left the beach races, they moved too what was then rural Daytona. Got a sweetheart deal from the city.. Lifetime lease and thus began the track.. Pond in the middle a few guys ended up in, now reduced in size and fenced off.
Bill France's daughter just recently got an idea.. Summers were slow, so she opened a museum, race history exhibit. Took off well.
City of Daytona recently stepped in and wanted to charge them meag bucks, for their property that they lease. Or may have purchased, somehow they were trying to extort them..
"No problem, we will move and build a new track." Whoops stay calm now.
Between the 500, Pepsi race, bike weeks, Daytona stays alive.
Not doubting the budget deal, but I think they have enough money to lend the Govt. money..

I got out of following NASCAR when they switch the points rules so the drivers that are in the top ten at a certain race are the only ones that have a chance at the cup, the first year they did this and a couple drivers outside that top ten would have moved into the top ten by the end of the season.

Biggun, she is bringing more dollars to NASCAR than are being spent on her "development", so she won't go anywhere unless she wants to go. Like Coils said, Dale Jr. has had numerous shitty seasons with the best equipment and people money can buy, but he still kept a ride, because he is still the most popular driver, and puts fans in the stands, and dollars into NASCAR's till.

Now as far as Danica's ability, she consistently ran top 12 in Indycars/CART or whatever it's being called this week. Hell a few years back she was in the lead by a LONG way on the Indy 500, but didn't have enough fuel left to keep the pace that high. She had to back off enough to be able to complete the race, and finished 4th. Not too many male drivers have finished 4th at Indy, and have been trying for years.

She can dang sure drive, it's just gonna take awhile to get used to a heavy, slow assed brick on a NASCAR track. LOL. At least the new car kind of puts everyone on an even playing field when it comes to the learning curve.

Now to the important part. I love my wife dearly, but if Danica wanted to do it on the coffee table with my wife in the room, I would just have to suck it up and do it!!!!!!!!!! Ass whoopin be damned!!
