Florida snake hunt

Hey 4th, you gonna get in on this? I had this idea yrs ago. All you have to do is send the teenage boys that want to go into the swamps with a .22 and take care of the pythons. I'm thinking in the past, though. We could walk around all day though the neiborhoods with a gun when I was a wee little lad and folks would just smile and wave. Not these days.

They should do the same thing with the legal aliens. funny snakes are more of a concern then 80,000,000 people robbing this country blind.

I would send them out in teams and offer prizes and bounty on the unwanted guest.

well I am closer to the action than 4th, question I have for you guys is have ever been in the glades? I am 20miles as the crow flys from the Corkscrew Preserve, which is part of Big Cypress ( part of the everglades ) national Park. this is some swampy country, you are going to earn ever dime, forget the pythons, its the cotton mouths, rattle snakes and gators, and if your in southern collier co you might see a croc. I have yet to see a python on the road or in my neighborhood, but i have seen everything else
this isn't like shooting nutria out of a airboat to pick up a few bucks

I think it's a good idea to try and stem the python's tide.. but I'd be worried about people shooting native snakes by mistake.. may be better to design a trap or something.. B2B

The wife & I were leaving the racetrack one day over by the charlotte county airport and saw one of those monitor type lizzards cross the road right in front of us. I'd say an easy ten footer counting the tail. Well....I saw dollar signs ! Stopped the truck & took off into the bush to try and catch it.
I can tell you first hand , those things can MOVE OUT!!! WAY fast!
I gave up right quick.

Who are you calling stupid? I was raised in the backwoods. Gators and snakes aint shit to me or to the kids I grew up with. Like I said I'm speaking in the past, todays kids wouldnt stand a fucking chance. Most of them anyway. I hope I misunderstood your intention. Did you read the artical or did you just go by my idea of the youth of yesterday?

And where did you get 12 yr old? Thats not a teenager last time I checked. I was thinking more along the lines of 16 yr old and up. But the swamp kids are tough, I bet they are rasslin alligators by the time they are 5!
