OK, since we are measuring dick size here....

I am decended from Clan McMillian, Clan Chastain (obliterated during the Jackobite Rebellion) and Clan Bell, which was not even recognized until 1911.

The motto for Clan Bell is "de Soccouris disco" in Latin: "I aid the distressed"

In Gaelic (Scots), it is (I think) "se anacail a' neothabhach" Literally, "I defend the weak".

Even though I lived in Scotland for a time, and lived with a family that spoke Scots Gaelic in the home instead of English, a whole lot of the nuance of the language is lost on me. So, please do not beat me up if I butchered the translation. My Scottish Host-Family tells me that the translation is difficult because the last word in the phrase can mean 27 or more different things depending on inflection of the spoken phrase, among other factors. The rest of the phrase is also difficult and not easily expressed. It seems to be the nature of that language.... Want to see the fight of the Century? Watch a Scotsman and an man from Ireland try to communicate in Gaelic.....BRUTAL!

First question, is the hammer in correctly

Second question, is the disconnector spring installed and does it have good spring tension.
Tapco had a run of triggers with the disconnector hole too deep causing it to not function properly.

Yes mine looks like this, the only thing I have noticed is my disconnector spring once installed in the disconnector barely hangs out of it. Once everything is installed it doesn't have any pressure on it at all just kind of wobbles in there back and forth. I actually took it out again today and had the same issue where it will fire once but the hammer doesn't catch so i have to re-rack it to get the hammer to catch (causing the bullet that loaded the last time the trigger was pulled to eject) then it'll fire again. After that I unloaded it and went home. Really starting to get frustrated with this damn thing..........

Take a look at this. If your hole in the disconnector isn't too deep, then it's probably hammer follow. The problem is that when the bolt-carrier cycles it does not push the hammer down far enough resulting in the disconnector not being able to grab. I did this with my Yugo and it fixed it. Take a look at this:

    troubleshooting page

And this (which is what I did):

Arizona Response Systems, LLC. Notes. AK. AK Trigger Adjustment.

I used a jewelers file followed buy some sandpaper just to remove the burrs and make it smooth and it fixed it. I didn't polish the area though, just smoothed it out. Hopefully this helps. Let us know how it goes.

I didn't mean to get off track and wish I'd have clicked that link before today's firing session. After looking at those pictures that's definitely my problem. My spring is actually shorter than the "wrong" one in that picture so I went on akbuilder and ordered a new one.

Anouther thing to consider, when you go on your shooting event.... Keep all political and gun views to yourself, even if they BRING up a topic that you may agree on... just sayin they are never really off the clock.
