Okay, the "they will run" stuff will be cut. I have to agree that 88% of all people you'll meet will think you're a psychotic mall-shooting crazypants...

What's the "Gunco Militia" ?

I've been messing around with CafePress recently, and I've designed some really neat Gunco stuff... I PM'd the moderators here to ask permission before "opening" the store, and haven't received word back yet on whether or not to proceed with posting a URL...
Ceekay - I appreciate the enthusiasm, but this should already be addressed in a PM you received from an admin/moderator.
If Wilfx wants to do another run of shirts - that is fine. I don't think anything should be pursued with cafepress unless Gunco (Bob) approves it.
Thanks!

It's the well-regulated militia that we should have so that we will retain our firearms rights in case the SCOTUS feels that the important phrase isn't "the right of the people to keep and bear arms" or "shall not be infringed," but the "well-regulated militia..."

Well get Bob to approve/deny this so that I know whether or not to link to the store, or to take "Gunco" off of everything and link to the store.
Not to be negative or anything, but these designs are starting to take off here, and with CafePress, we can sell shirts year-round and put up new designs any time we want! We won't need to do "runs" anymore! We just put up a design for sale, and people visit the link whenever they want and buy one, instead of having a "first come first served" basis! Plus, it totally relieves any inventory or shipping woes, and greatly reduces shipping errors or printing errors, or whatever! CafePress has a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if something doesn't fit the customer's standards by any means, they can return it and get a new one, paid for by CafePress instead of whoever's doing the runs.
Also, there is no link to anything for sale, just links to pictures with the URLs masked with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (even though the picture links are 300-some characters of gibberish anyway). As stated in the post you quoted, I'm still waiting for approval/denial. However, I'm still going to post pictures.

I liked the "they will run" bit myself. Don't let it put you on the spot - it's simply a statement about the hoplophobes among us. I built an AK (actually two now) specifically because the anti folks find them so frightening. It seems easy to explain - it's not about intimidation, it's about the knee-jerk reaction we've all experienced among folks who get their gun knowledge from the main stream media.
SJohnson - those Burma Shave jingles are the best, but probably too dated to be as appreciated as they should be.

Burma-Shave was awesome, a "dot-com" explosion of its time. And I do agree, unless you're a member of that generation, they are sadly dated.
But I disagree about the "they will run" - I wouldn't buy one. Not ever. I'm currently catching hell at the technical school where I attend because I broke out my 2 1/2 inch pocket knife to cut a seal on a package, trying to help someone.
The fear and loathing was palpable. I HAD A WEAPON!!!!! I kid you not. Out of the dozens of possible weapons an average student carries daily, a simple pocket knife was viewed as a horrific weapon.
I'm actually hitting the school each day with the idea in mind that I'm going to be interrogated about the "weapon." In this case, I could be expelled for simply trying to help someone.
I'm not afraid of hardball discussions, I'm engaged in one right now with a South Dakota State Senator who was part of a team of 17 Senators that stifled a gun rights bill that passed our State house 63-3. We're close to going to the mats. But I choose my words carefully and respect my opponent.
So, if y'all are so secure in your job, your profession, wherever you are, that you can trigger sheeple hysteria with impunity and without any repercussion, go for it. As far as I'm concerned, "I build AK's, kiss my ass" is actually a BIG step up from "Build it, and they will run"
I can hear it now "You like AK's and making people run? Do you like shooting people?" Me "no"
"Then why does your shirt say you do?"
A shirt that puts me on the spot.
Showing off an AK is non-PC. I can handle that fine, I can even use their reaction to the AK to gain converts. "they will run" takes it out of the non-PC realm and into the wacked world, brands me as a terrorist for wearing it. Total alienation. Even if I get a chance (not likely!) to explain what it means, that first impression will be tough to shake. You might as well print "I build AK's. Kiss my ass"
None for me, thanks.
My slogan was merely a suggestion, like the dozens of ideas submitted by others here, not meant to offend anyone or put anyone off...just my .02 (which unfortunately due to my poor choice in slogans is now only worth .01!). Majority doesn't like it, majority rules and I'm definitely good with that. Hopefully my suggesting it doesn't put me into the realm of "wacked world" or "terrorist", since I am a law abiding, mentally competent, 100% Proud American, who just wanted to add a catchy phrase to what is turning out to be a very nice shirt. I will buy several of the shirts whether they have that slogan or not. As for removing any fun out of my life by worrying about everything I say and whether I'm even a little PC or not, I'll borrow your last line in the above quote: "None for me, thanks" -gmanindahood
p.s.: I guess I better burn the shirt that shows the entrance and exit wounds of various caliber projectiles on it...shouldn't be too much smoke since I must have been the only person who bought it.
