Heart Attack!

Folks , I just got out of 4 days in the hospital for a mild heart attack. I'm only 49yrs old. It starts out as chest pains and then spreads out to you shoulder and neck and up into your jaw. My wife convinced me to go to the ER and within 3 hrs I was in the operating room getting an angiogram, where they stick a hose up thru your Femoral artery at your groin and up right into your heart with a little camera. I had partial blockage and they did a stent. Then they sent me home with HBP, Lipitor, cholesteral and anxiety meds. I'm being given a second chance. Please, please, please, if you feel ANY discomfort in your chest-GO! The sooner the better, they're better than ever to find and fix you. I feel better than I have in years. It was the best thing I ever did. We want everyone to be here for a good long time. Btw, my Wife and I went and signed up for a Tai Chi class. We bought a Jack LaLanne juicer and we're going heart healthy from now on. We hope y'all do to.

Were the chest pains and the trip to the ER on the same day, or had you been having the chest pains for a while? Thanks for the post and glad you are okay!

Very glad to hear you are O.K.
Exercise, eat properly and don't do like I do.
Smoke and drink.
I go to the V.A. all the time for checkups. My cholesterol was through the roof. Something like 380.
Now I am on Simvastatin tabs which has brought my fat ridden arteries down to like 140 something.
Still can't drive by Mickey Ds without getting a fish sandwich. But I do NOT supersize it. Stay health bud. Good luck.

My cholesterol was 278 a year ago. My sister (older) told me about "Red Yeast Rice" available at health food stores. Within 4 months my it was down 62 points.

I am not a doctor, don't play one on TV or any place else. Nor is this an endorsement. But I'm adverse to putting chemical concoctions into my body.

My cholesterol read more like a zip code a few years ago! Began with Lipitor and brought the numbers down to a more healthy level.

OTOH, my brother swears by the Red Yeast Rice but I have heard negative things about it as well.
