Default Jews for Protection of Firearms Ownership

Back in the late '80s I used to hit Aaron Zelman's JPFO BBS using QModem and a 2400 baud modem. A lot of us wound up there after being sold down the river by the NRA in 1986.

I lost track of the JPFO after BBSs died out. I eventually found they had moved to a web site, which was probably one of the ugliest sites in the known intarwebz, and recently that Aaron had died and the JPFO had been taken over by someone else.

The current web site has "shrill panic" cranked up to 11, and I'm not seeing anything about what they're actually *doing*, though it might be hidden under all the Flash and dancing animations.

Any JPFO members here? Can someone tell me what they're up to nowadays?

I'd like to know as well... JPFO used to be one of those places to go for unbiased information.

What's JPFO? I remember BBS's back in the day. Man technology has come a long way.

"Jews for Protection of Firearms Ownership." Aaron used to keep it tightly focused in the old days. The new management seems to be, ah, considerably different.

One of the problems with getting older is that when I remember hanging out on the JPFO BBS, that was a quarter of a century ago. And I have session captures from Compuserve and BIX that have migrated across computers and operating systems for longer than some Gunco members have been alive. So, yeah, when my Dad starts saying something about "the other day" that was in the Eisenhower administration, I know where he's coming from...

I became a member when I became disillusioned with the site, "Nebraskans against gun control" At that time "Nebraskans" were idiots. I haven't been on for years. Thanks for reminding me. Maybe I'll give them a shot.

I have their book which shows the 1968 Omnibus Gun law is actually a copy of the German (pre-WWII) gun laws. Page for page comparision of the laws shows that it is true.

And I thought the Nazi's lost the war.

Yep, I bought that book from Zelman himself years ago at a gun rally in D.C. I think he signed it for me. I just wish I could find it.

They made a dvd that chronicles gun control several years back.
Take an hour and watch it. Make your friends and family watch it too. Especially your kids.
