I just came back from a local park where I went to the top of a small hill and had a beer with him. It's the same place I go to have a beer with my dad every year on his birthday.
The General and Tommy Franks were the only brass I ever met that weren't phuquing politicians.

The Bear was a Friend of my Father. They served together at the Pentagon in the mid '60s.

Saw him when I was serving at Ft Mcpherson I was on security for a meeting he was in. Big man only 2 stars at the time.

i all ways liked the general after that ---
