Marijuana bust

"Yes. What do you want?"
"I'm calling to report about my neighbor Billy Smith! He is hiding marijuana inside his firewood."
"Thank you very much for the call, sir."
The next day, the Police descend on Billy’s house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They swore at Billy and left
The phone rings at Billy's house: "Hey, Billy Bob! Did the Police come?"
"Yeah!"
"Did they chop your firewood?"
"Yep."
"Merry Christmas, Buddy"

kind of like the old joke about the Father of a mafia Don who got sent to prison. One day he sends a letter to his son and says son, I am unable to plant a garden this year because you aren't here to till the soil for me. The son gets the letter and immediately calls another mafia guy on the outside and says did you make sure to bury that body in my Dad's garden? The next day the FBI turns out en masse and starts digging everywhere in the garden. After furiously searching for hours and finding nothing they do their best to straighten things out and leave. The next day the father gets a letter from his son saying is the garden ready now?
