Default Northwest Airlines Sucks

Hope I don't offend anyone, but I have had a huge problem with Northwest Airlines. Anyone else had trouble with them???

I planned a business trip, then my company changed my destination, so I called and talked to some hadji in India to have them make the changes. Very long story short, they screwed it up. Then I called to tell them they screwed it up and they fixed part of it, and screwed up my return flight (I have no return flight).

I finally got to talk to a nice lady in Ohio, and she said the only thing she could do was book my return flight for $752.00. While on hold I looked at American Airlines and found the same flight for $625.00 plus I get in 2 hours earlier. My company is going to freak out when they get the bill.

No more Northwest Airlines for me or my company.

Having been there and done that, I would have contacted "the company" to let them know what is going on.

A little "heads up" can eliminate a lot of problems.

Post Rikoshay.

The airlines are in a state of confusion. With gas prices going crazy, people are figuring out it is cheaper to fly than drive. Too many people with too few seats. If it was there fault that damn sure should not have happened.
Not being funny here, but they want you to use those phones on the wall in the problem solving section.
Now next time don't use them. Find the most crowed area of the airline your flying. Get to the window and start talking. Explain your problem in a polite manner. But just keep talking.
Remember people behind you are in a rush. The last thing the airline wants is pissed off delayed customers. Stay at that window till they understand there mistake and help you.
Hell even if your wrong, they will take care of you just to get you the hell out of the way so they can keep the line moving.
Tell your company to cancel payment on the credit card till NorthWest straightens out there mistake.
Remember just keep talking till you hear the people behind you start to scream. This is usually the first indication of an impending riot. Have an escape plan. Good luck Bro.

Just be damm carefull what you say they get security involved prettty fast. keep asking for a higher up manager and dont loose your cool.

I caught an agent in a lie recently when she said the flight was delayed due to weather and the plane had not arrived yet. not mechanical problems some thing that would mean they would have to refund money ect. I called here on it pointed to the plane in front of the gate and then to the board that showed it ariving on time. i was then told another lie that the flight crew was not there wich it was and I then produced a member of it who I had just talked to who had told me the plane was broken/needed maintance ect. I never yelled but I did state that IMOA she was lying . she called security. I called her boss. I refused to leave the gate. I informed securty of what was transpiring . it got pretty heated but I was carefull not to make threats or curse but was insistant that the plane sitting in front of the window was really there and that the guys with tool boxes were working on it. producing other passangers as witness to what was said the whole time. I demanded a supervisor and got one I asked what was sitting at the gate and when it arrived and if it was the same as the board. I pointed to the service cart and to the fact that they were working on it. I then pointed to the co pilot and several flight attendants. I asked for him to prove it was weather related. I got a refund and a free flight to my destination. a sincere appoligy from the supervisor and a written letter from the air line. the counter person was made to leave the area.

I also felt at any given point I was very close to jail or at least being escorted to an exit. they are trained to dismiss mistakes and malfunctions to a way were they are not responsable.
