So I thought I would read the comments and damn some Marines are stupid. Everyone is arguing about being grunt or POG and who's opinion is worth more.
Either way they both have their opionions which is the beauty of the 1st Amendment and the beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that the only person who can waive that right is yourself. So if one wants them he can have them and if one doesn't then he doesn't have to have them, but saying someone else is a disgrace to the uniform because you don't like him standing up for a right you chose not to excercise is dumb.
The other kid can give his opinion but when a comment includes "Sure it infringes that right" should never leave your mouth. I believe in background checks but trying to say the 2nd Amendment only applied then but things are different now because of new weapons is ignorant.
By that logic does he feel the government gets to rifle through his cell phone, texts, e-mail, etc... because those things weren't around nor could they be concieved when the 4th Amendment was written? Once again choosing to pick and choose which rights are more important than others makes this kid's argument a moot point.
Daddy always told me, "It's better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
