The term crazy is too often used to describe actions that the rest of society does not find sane.Does this mean that the indivdual is acually crazy maybe maybe not.I for one am tiredof this excusse.
The shooter in this case is an American Soldier. I belive only an opinion is that he was and is not crazy. He made a choice to fight on the side of the enemy and tried to take out as many as he could. Now being that he is serveing in the armed forces this to me seams to make him a tratior and commited an act of treason and should be put to death.
There are a few important facts that should hopefully get considered when the military decides to respond to this.
1. It took a woman with a gun to end this.
2. It took her 5 mins to arrive on scene to render aid.
3. Criminals don't obey rules or regulations
4. Plenty of qualified and trained soldiers were in the vicinity but disarmed by their superiors.
Let me do some quick math...
If we allowed all E-4's and above to retain their arms while in uniform and on-duty, this situation would have ended much more quickly and with less loss of life. I sincerely hope that the policy makers consider this.
While I am pissed as it gets that a muslime(sp on purpose) was involved, I wonder what we would be saying if he had been a eric rudolph types... If he had jumped up on the cubicle and started shouting, jesus hates abortions, and opened fire. I would hope that we could and would all react the same way, that he was a radical asshat, and religion crazed. While I do not trust the muslimes, one has to wonder how many are appalled at this mans actions, I know that for the first time the muslime community was out front condemning the actions taken, that to me is a good start.

TO vote for the lesser of two evils , is to still vote for evil.
This is what is happening with ones who have lost it all. Not just Muslims. Now with the unemployment really around 20%, we will more than likely start seeing a few more of these?
I'm actually surprised that this hasn't happened sooner, just like the guy at the stress clinic in Baghdad a few months back who shot a bunch of soldiers, but that story didn't last very long in the news. I saw several guys pushed to the very edge, and I was very concerned that somebody would do something similar on our base in Iraq. We had a guy who's wife was fooling around back home, they took away his weapon and tormented the hell out of him. They kept pushing him and I'll have to give him kudo's for having the self control to NOT do something horrible like this.
Death by gun control. These soldiers were entrusted to carry fully automatic, military assault rifles when deployed to Afghanistan, where the shooter was about to be sent. But in America, these same soldiers are disarmed when on base. From the Associated Press: Soldiers at Fort Hood don't carry weapons unless they are doing training exercises.
Old media attempted to associate this mass murder with the one that happened to civilians in 1991: The base is surrounded by the town of Killeen, where a man shot and killed 23 people in a Luby’s restaurant in October 1991. “Unfortunately, this is a day we had dreaded,” said Hilary Shine, a spokeswoman for the city of Killeen. “Every time you hear of a mass casualty situation in Killeen, you think of Luby’s. ...
They inadvertently prove that civilian disarmament zones provide the perfect place for mass murderers: Luby’s patrons were disarmed due to Texas’s gun control laws. Suzanna Gratia Hupp, who lost her parents in the Luby's massacre, explains what happened in the video below.

Since it is apparently the base commander (Lt. Gen. Robert Cone) who makes the decision on whether those in his command are allowed to keep and bear arms on post, perhaps he should be removed and face court martial for dereliction of duty for creating an environment that allowed for the murder of 13 and wounding of 30 under his command.

Few months back. Pulled up to the gates. "Private" security guards on duty.
I stop. Pull out my Military I.D. Friggen guy does not even look at it. "Go ahead."
Great. Thank you. Yeah rite. Three guys with me. Does NOT even ask them for I.D..
Patrick, for those who do not know, is the command center for NASA.
If we had been terrorists. We could have destroyed the whole damn base. We could have shut down the whole damn space program.
You guys are 100% on the money. Our younggun heroes are allowed to carry full autos when the Guberment feels it is time.
"Oh your safe now, turn them in."
Do they make Police Officers turn there weapons in when they get to the station?
I hope this scum bag piece of garbage raghead scum becomes a lessons learned for the Military.
Remember this was not the first time this happened. It almost happened at Ft. Dix but was stopped the last minute.
Imagine what this has done to the moral of our troops. Where they not only have to worry about the enemy in the field but now have to worry about there loved ones back home. Great.
I hope those who this scum bag harmed, or even scared, sue the living piss out of the Guberment.
The Military members probably can not sue. But the civilians who were there can. Sue the S.O.B.s
