Just watch the video and see for yourself... Is this what what the media and entertainment industry has done to our education???

Speaking of the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner here is another one out of the far left field.

How does this happen? Is it really that bad to be Unapologetically American, or is it people who are tired of the same old toy using wisdom gained from controversial books and like minded college professors as the base of a belief that somehow being American makes you guilty? Guilty of warmongering, guilty for the enslavement of blacks, guilty for the massacre of Native Americans, guilty for the most heinous activities ever carried out around the world. Well My Fellow Americans, I have never owned a slave, never killed a Native American, and never been a warmonger. I, for one, have nothing to apologize about... No shame for being an American. To further my belief that one should not be ashamed of being American, I have never called myself a Hispanic-American nore do I encourage people to do so. I speak Spanish (Technically my first spoken language), but I don't do it at work, the grocery store, the bank, gun stores, etc... I speak English primarily and you know what... If I lived in Italy then I would be speaking Italian... Now does that make me ashamed of being Spanish or proud to be American? Whoa I think the poles just shifted. I teach my son that being American is his birth-right, but being free isn't. So what can it be? Is our country so messed up the only thing we can do is get rid of the beliefs which were the foundation for creating it meanwhile adopting beliefs that have proven time and time again to be the downfall of nations? Is being proud of your country really all the evidence you need to be labeled a sheep? I don't know how else to say this, but in my opinion it goes far beyond taking it for granted... I think some people are just bored with the only thing they have had since the day they were born and believe anybody can be proud to be American, but it takes a trully educated and enlightened person to not only not be proud of being American, but pretty much hate the whole idea of America. Wisdom is derived from experience and if you have none... fake it... Have a cause (as long as America is not it)... yell at the wind because it decided to blow... speak down to those who weren't as motivated as yourself to spend $60,000 for a bachelors degree in interpretive dance... Do whatever you need to do to not be thought of as a sheep. Even if it means joining a movement of other like-minded non-sheep. That's being an individual and not a follower like us Unapologetic Americans.

I am not much of a country music fan, but I will say I love "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood.
The Star Spangled Banner is our National Anthem. It tells the story of an important battle in the Revolutionary War and anybody that wants to mess with it has no clue of how significant it is. I would protest loud and long if there was a serious effort to change it.

There are two kinds of people, those that are prepared, and those that suffer.
Actually it was written in 1814. The second time we re-embarked the lobsterbacks.
Key witnessed the shelling of Fort McHenry from an enemy ship. He was onboard trying to do a prisoner swap with them.
The brits told the fort to surrender or they would level the place.
We Americans, well, we are not exactly known for surrendering. That would be ''NUTS''.
By mourning the place was a smoking hole but the flag was still standing.
So we got mad and beat them up and sent them packing.
America defeated the brits twice. I read somewhere that the Japanese had not lost a war in 3000 years, till they met our grandfathers.
Never in the history of the world has any nation fought so hard for the propagation of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Let's keep it.
I am DAMN PROUD to be an American and I will not be apologizing for it. I will live free, and I will vehemently expose and combat anything that would rob us of these virtues.
Our history should be taught until the country is no more. It should be respected and feared so we do not make the same mistakes. Currently our history is being threatened. Not by liberals or conservatives, but by reality TV, a lax public education system and parents depending on the latter to do their jobs for them. Not to say all parents are bad or don't care, it's just hard to mother a daughter when you are competing with Beyonce and Kim Kardashian. Ask who is dating who on this show and the younger generation will answer right off the bat. Ask what the Bill of Rights is and a blank stare will follow for the most part. I'm not saying at all that our future is doomed, but it will be if things don't change for the better. Colleges are now attempting to halt the teaching of our founding documents and use the excuse that it's "limiting free thought". That is a load of bull and they know it. I will not say liberals are to blame and I won't say conservatives have the answers. But when someone can envoke their 1st Ammendment right while in the same sentence tear down the 2nd Ammendment while 3, 4, and 5 skip their minds shows me they are being indoctrinated. Teach them everything or teach them nothing. Our history wasn't paved on level earth causing potholes and cracks, but it is out history nonetheless. There is something extremely wrong when a movement to improve education gets met with resistance. This isn't a union discussion at all this is simply stating the obvious. When you teach someone the truth about the fall of Rome and they don't step back and see what is happening then I tremble for my future. When they realize the fall of Rome came when the power of the people was slowly stripped of them it will be too late. Our country isn't perfect by any means, but I will raise my child and future children to respect the oppurtunity I provided to them with the help of the oppurtunities provided to me. Many people think our current debt and government will be the end of us, scavengers with ulterior motives will take this chance to advance their agendas and nay sayers will tell you this is the beginning of the end. But as long as their are true Americans within our ranks we will never be outnumbered. Like Tanvil just said," By morning the place was a smoking hole, but the flag was still standing." How about that??? History.

Gentlemen, Wednesday is usually range day for my guys and me. As I won't see them until dusk tomorrow, we went shooting today. After we're all set up I says 'heck of a day, huh guys?' and the younger says 'sure is grandpa'. I said 'gentlemen, how come we can come here and shoot today?' and the older says 'because your daddy and his buddies went over and kicked some German butt'.
Also, as we shoot, I sprinkle in a few stories of the happenings of April, 1775.
I don't know about the others, but my guys will know.
