Default what i don't get with the media--

schools have been attacked by crazed murders in the past--several times in fact.

far enough in the past that the government has had plenty of time to shore up security at schools , train teachers, hire armed guards , buy equipment,

more that enough time to have an effective plan up and running.

a couple more secure doors or one armed person with the school --could have changed this incident.

if that kid had had the proper mental health help --he may not ever pulled such a stupid stunt.

there were warning signs EVERYWHERE --yet the to government and the school system it is strictly BAU.

yet ALL the blame is one the firearm industry?

why is all the blame on firearms???--because that is the POLICY.

the government screws up--yet again by failing to do ANYTHING to prevent the situation and the government wants to shift the blame to another.

the perp is to blame --don't get me wrong but the government was completely short sighted in not taking steps to secure the schools against terrorist like attacks.

billions spent on HLS--yet not one hard door was installed in schools?

you tell me ---WTF is wrong with this picture?

we can learn a lot from the IDF --they have been dealing with state backed attempts to kill their children for decades and THEY do a GOOD job protecting theirs against much bigger threats.

one day we may well have groups of men hell bent on killing our children for political reasons on top of the mental disturbed nut threat.

this day is not that far off.

steps need to be taken NOW.

all these government police agencys can spare a few people --pull a few TSA agents and post them. grab a few guards from local military bases.

and NO BS like the NG in airports,or embassy guards- wondering around with empty weapons and no ammo. --if they can't be locked and loaded they go no reason to be on sight.

no playing around. this country needs to grow up, tighten up and toughen up.

the future is going to be tough and it is going to get a lot tougher for the stupid and the sissies.

there is a time to be tough and we better get cracking!

You forget one thing. Follow the money.

My senator flipped his opinion on gun control. Reason? He wants to stay elected.

Just today the parent financial company of the "conglomerate" freedom group withdrew funding. That's a HUGE issue for the industry. Why? Anti-gun investors - with investment clout - voiced their desire to withdraw money from the company. Money!

I agree with you - enough has happened that we need to realize the writing on the wall. Before it happens! They are leading up to removal of guns from our society. And before you say "oh that won't happen here"... well yes it will. They will shut down the gun industry piece by piece, and that will just be the start.

As you know, the real issue is not guns. When the same thing happens with a drunk driver... you don't go banning yellow cars! You go after the issue. This poor kid was mentally ill. He stole guns! If anything we need better gun storage training. And better mental illness screening. This kid should have gotten meds! But does anyone care? Where are the voices in the country that are saying this? The NRA as of this morning is STILL silent on the issue. Perhaps they are waiting for all the facts. Regardless, it appears the industry is beginning to self-destruct. We simply need to be politically active so our voices will be heard.

Don't be surprised if mandatory gun registration is coming our way. "I told you so".

We need to get involved NOW and voice our opinions to our representatives.

i think gov. doesnt believe a revolt against the gov. just will not happen. it might go down to restoreing the constitution back in power they way it is met and more power to the people and not the politicians. a long hard road and i just cant believe that after oklahoma bombing and in the cities all the kids killed by drive-by shootings that now they want to blindly jump on the band wagon before the poor kids are even buried.

j427x--- I hate to say it but I agree with you on this one. Timothy McVey didn't use a firearm.

Buy stock in candle making companies. You'll do well. Americans love their candlelight vigils.

Dog run over? Light a candle at the street corner.
Popped a hemorrhoid? Light another candle.
Wife hits the road? Light an entire box of candles!

And let's not forget the lowering of the flag to half staff. It's getting to where it flies there more than at the top given every excuse imaginable being used by the whoa-is-me crowd. Unless of course those doing the dieing are troops in Afghanistan......

well the re-election of the big "O" has shown that the USA has had a demographic shift.

these people from other lands have no idea of freedom, the constitution or our heritage as a nation. to them the spirit of 1776 is a vain idea!

a "nanny state" looks very good to sheeple --all the while the media and the body politic panders to that segment of the "new majority".

you think your feeling like a minority now? just give this a few months--

i shudder to think what rights and freedoms were about to loose at the hands of the morons.

welcome to the new minority!

the only thing is--they need to change the name , this damn sure ain't the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

the socialist will probably want to change the name anyway because the USA might offend someone--
