Yep these are times to yuck it up and ride the Obama magic carpet to a glorious new country...

You can call me whatever kind of hnut you like (although I prefer almonds), buy my eye has gotten so much more wary of late of the course this country has set and the clowns leading it.
I see no humor in any of this, cept for your reaction. Is shit FUBAR ? Most likely. Is it because of some super secrect black ops government coverup ment to enslave us all ? I really doubt it. The people running the show are as you said, clowns.

I don't believe I ever said it was a plot to enslave us all. I said that the government has a track record of making people disappear. Whether into prison, or by murdering them, there is enough evidence to prove it. There are more John and Jane Does that have been victimized by the government for lawfully owning guns or for being members of "fringe groups."

The path this country is on right now is leading us down the path to a new order and it is happening right in front of our eyes. No need for guns to overthrow the populace when they do it non-violently right in front of our eyes. Soon it will have happened and people will look around and say WTF happened?

You don't have to agree with me, I truly don't care if you do. We are still free and can believe whatever we wish.

My post was a (failed) attempt at humor.
While the government certainly has the means and the experience ("sheep dipping") to disappear people, it doesn't seem to do so, and doesn't seem to me to need to do so.
I'll start worrying when vocal, high profile critics of the government begin to disappear.

Acmcom: I saw your humor, and it was there. I am sorry I used it to try to get a point across. I totally agree with you on the rest of your statement. As far as the govt. is concerned; I am just a voice in the wilderness full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

The funny thing is this, IF you BELIEVE you are powerless, you most assuredly are.

The main power we have as citizens is to vote. Not just for charisma and looks, but for substance. We need to listen, truly listen, and investigate what politicians are saying. So many lies, half truths and broken promises that we excuse allow the corruption of government to continue. It doesn't matter whether you are democrat or republican both sides have their share of liars and cheats. We need to send a message and eliminate them from serving us.

The alternative is to surrender and be run over.

FyredUP> AMEN BROTHER!!!! The problem is by the time elections role around everybody forgets why they are mad. Living in the heart land I have learned that it is almost, I said almost impossible to get two members of the ag community(farmers) to agree on anything. Add one more and it is impossible. Now until everyone finally decides to look after the other guy-not just "me"- are we going to be able to vote in a block that is strong enought to get anything done. And here again money(corruption) talks.

I live in ag country and you hit it right on the head.

Oh I think the elections out east were a clear indication how mad people are. It becomes our job to educate other voters if they seem lackadasical or uninformed.

I will be more vocal the next round of elections in my state than I have ever been. The same when the next presidential election comes around. We can no longer sit idley by and expect someone else to do the job for us. WE NEED TO DO IT.

Freedom has never been free and it becomes more costly everyday.
