Default Wish I found this in my closet!!!

Nice find and almost lost. I am wondering how this will be sold if it was a war trophy, left to a family member?

Well it's good the cops didn't trash it. At least they did that. I was reading an article about a buy back where a guy brought in an extremely valuable Colt Peacemaker and one of the cops refused to take it in as part of the buy back because it would be of greater value by far if the guy had sold it to a collector. The cop was subsequently reprimanded and removed from the buy back program of which he was one of two firearms experts. Whatever they did the right thing. It would make me sh*t myself if I ever found one of those just lying around in a pile of old stuff.

I bet given the unique circumstances and favorable media coverage they will find a way to make it transferable.....or they will use that as a way to dupe her out of it and it will end up in one of the superiors' closet.

That is a great find.

This should be used a platform to have that law repealed.

It also got me to thinkin that we need to teach our kids to teach THEIR kids about firearms, otherwise that might eventually happen to ours.

A piece of history can sit in the closet for over half a century. Then one day, it's sold for a months worth of smartphones minutes.

Someone in the article said that to shoot this thing special ammo would have to be made. 44s shoot the 8mm kurz round and I know at least one outfit manufactures this round; PRVI and I think Midway sells them.

there is no way the ATF will make that a transferable if it isn't already. and there is no way congress and the white house is ever going to do away with the restrictions on Class III weapons. have all the pipe dreams you want but it will never happen. sad simple truth
