Default 2nd AR - what caliber would YOU want

Say someone made you a really good deal on a complete lower. Really sweet deal. And you already had an AR in 5.56. What would you want to build, and why?

Out of those choices I'd go with the 6.8spc since I have a bunch of 223 and 556 uppers already. Since you're really only talking about the upper with those, why not build one carbine stocked and one A2 stocked rifle lower. To swap out the uppers just takes a few seconds.

9mm is a well balanced round in a rifle. Especially for short and medium distance where you would like more power to take out varmints than a .22cal. Less expensive, accurate and, hard hitting.

I'm going to treat myself to a Stag Arms Left Hand Model Upper for early Christmas

Due to ammo costs the 9mm would be my choice. The 9mm is still cheap to reload for which is a big consideration for me. 22lr would also be good.

I've been toying with this same question for a couple of months now.
I have a 16" CAR and a 24" varminter in 5.56 already. I also have a 3rd complete lower just waiting for me to decide what upper to hang on it.

Have any of you considered this? It's really piqued my interest.

I don't know anything about that round. Is it easy to come by?

Pretty good for an upper already with a quad rail thing on it.

Top feed, bottom eject? Never seen one of those in an AR style layout?

I am looking forward to a 9mm sbr somewhere down the line, ammo is decent, and good mags easier to come by than some calibers. Plus they just look cool, it would be a good suppressor host too.

My first Ar was 9mm. The other bigger ones came after it for me.
