Post1911 best all around pistol for under $250

this poll is about the best all around pistol for under $250.

which make has the best firepower, reliability, safety, and accuracy?

also to be considered expense of the ammunition.

this poll is to consider mil-surp and some new market imports and used firearms as well.

if i have left any good ones out--feel free to mention them.

i voted for the romac t-33 mainly because mags for the polish made tok are a might longer and more difficult to find and the pistol itself is getting difficult to find for the $250 & under limit--that said i wish i had one and a few mags!!

PS how are the safety's on the polish t-33?

I love my CZ82s, the only draw back that the gun has in my opinion is the fact that it does not have a de-cocker.

My very most favorite pistol is the CZ75-DB, 9mm.

But, it is not for under $250.00.

DID WE NOT DO THIS POLL ALREADY?

You might have to take out the other in your poll, just way to many variables with it. I have picked up an almost new smith 686 for 250.00 and a new Star Firestar in .40 for 250.00. The 686 speaks for itself but the Firestar is not as well known or even considered due to the .45 POS's that Star sent out. I have ran a few thousands of rounds of the hottest .40 handloads thru that firestar without any ill effects or jams.

i should say in other it must be easy to find @ $250 or less.

one off good deals that arn't repeatable and those "back in the day i could git so and so for $200" ain't what were talking about here.

more of what you can buy today for $250 or less without having to search for weeks/months trying to come up with a sugar coated deal.

the kel-tec p11 9mm is right on the boarder line but is mostly just a few $$ above the $250 limit. before the panic i bet you could find them below the $250 mark.

I think the P-64 is one of the best, second is the cz-82. Hi-point has a lifetime warr.& will handle all +p+ loads.
