since he been smoking pot since he was 3yo i doubt it is going to hurt him any. LOL!
there is so many people around here using pot to get high anyway --and many, many more doing much harder shit like meth, crack, ice and so on.
i really don't see how having a medical MJ exemption is going to increase the illegal use of the stuff.
but i am out here with the heavy tokers in the back woods.
maybe the citys and towns don't have as much a dope problem as we do?--LOL! :sal ute:
one of my other neighbors --i hate to say it cause he is a distant cousin, got his sons smoking pot when they were 12!
we do have a number of burn-outs as well --folks been smoking for so long their practically disabled from smoking the shit.
the dope epidemic is rampant everybody seems to know it but the government which still claims their winning.

Yep;.....It's not just the pill makers. Let's not forget the multi BILLION dollar DRUG TESTING industry that has grown by leaps & bounds.. I have to get a urine test every time I go to my pain management clinic before I can get my refills. Don't spill your coffee, but it's over $600.00 a pop!!!!! More than the steroid injections, more than prescriptions, more than anything else I do there. They do a DNA workup EVERY damn visit. I'm going to have to stop the treatments because there testing lab is " out of network" of my insurance & I can't ( won't) pay that much. I'll just start drinking away the pain again..............
God damn war on drugs is really just another phrase for War on FREEDOM!!

Brad...
Pretty sure the U.S. has more people in jail, per capita, than any other nation on earth..
It is an industry within itself, employing millions in this country..
Very high percentage are in the cooler, on drug related charges.
The Govt. does not want to legalize it, millions would be out of work..
Their is so much money to be made, your tax money, on prisons. Private industry is begging to get their hands into it..
Cambodia, Thailand, pot is all over the place, not technically legal but sold openly..
Pharmacies, no script "What do you need?"
Guess what? No jails filled with drug heads, they don't care about the stuff.
Kids sell too the tourists. $$$$
The drug war is not working. Legalize the stuff.

mexican cartels are making "mucho dollar" from this shit BECAUSE it is illegal--
hell i guess the gov wants the cartels to get all the US dollars they want--maybe that is WHY the big "O" is shipping them FREE AKs!--
what a fricking system--lol!
who said the big "O" was not on the pay-roll? hell he and his buddies had a dope dealing gang in hawaii--back in the day. i the big "O" was the kingpin--

It's all about pharmaceutical money, and government control.
As far as I'm concerned, everything should be legal. If you do something stupid while on it, then you prosecute THAT crime. If a guy wants to shoot heroin or huff paint, or stick a rat laced with LSD up his ass, I don't think it's the governments biz. As long as they're keeping to themselves and not hurting anyone else, it's fine by me. Although I haven't smoked weed since my youth, I think it should be legalized period. Not just for medical patients. How can a government make a product that grows naturally without any intervention by man, illegal?? I can at least see where cocaine, crack, meth etc... are manmade/processed substances, but not marijuana. (Not saying that getting the good stuff and /or certain properties doesn't take involvement by man in growing the various strains, and mixing them etc....)

Why not just $dollar fines to discourage use? What do we gain by incarcerating otherwise hard working ,family supporting, tax paying Americans?
And pu....leeze... stop using the tired old " it's for the kids" excuse.
News flash!!!... Some Kids are going to get in trouble !! Always have ...always will. It's part of growing up. Weed or not .. Hell when I was a kid it was smoking corn silk behind grandpas barn.. Lets make smoking corn silk a felony!! I doubt it's much good for your lungs either...

I would agree with legalizing it, but have it regulated and controlled as Tobacco and Alcohol are... put a TAX on it. You make it legal, the Gov't makes some money off it, as they do from every gallon of gas, pack of camels, and bottle of Rum, and you would soon see the 'illegal' growers and mexicans in the pacific northwest growing it and trashing the land start to dissappear because they are no longer needed. in theory i guess.
