On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," we'll talk a little bit about the end of the world. More specifically, the end of the world as we know it. Someone devised an acronym to express that concept. It's TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It).
As usual, Hollywood jumped on the bandwagon. But there have been others talking about the end of the world as we know it for quite some time. A few come readily to mind: the Mayans, Nostradamus, St. Malachy, the Hopis, and others. For some years, Hollywood has had a whole genre of films that capitalized on the public's fascination with TEOTWAWKI.
However, as we approach the year 2012, this fascination is mushrooming. The Mayan Calendar seems to indicate that something dramatic will happen in that year. So does the Great Pyramid at Cheops. Hollywood has a major motion picture coming out in November that 'refers' to that prediction. It's called "2012." I'll show you a glimpse into what some filmmakers think might happen on the 'fateful' day, December 21, 2012.
How much stock should we Christians put in these types of 'prophecies'? Tune in this week and I'll tell you what I think.
Also, we'll take a closer look at "this generation." The Bible says that the generation that sees the rebirth of Israel will not 'pass away' without also witnessing the end of this Age. What does that mean? On this week's program, I'm going to discuss exactly what this generation has seen and what it can expect to see in the near future.

On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," I'll continue my discussion of "The End Of The World As We Know It." Last week, I examined the sense of foreboding that people are feeling. Even non-believers feel that major changes are coming, that something cataclysmic is about to happen. Many have studied the predictions of seers such as Nostradamus and Saint Malachy or ancient civilizations like the Mayans or the Egyptians. Hollywood has capitalized on this uneasiness for years with an entire genre of films that focus on TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It). The latest obsession is with the year 2012.
This week, I'll answer some of the questions that many of you have about the timing and order of events leading up to the Rapture of the Church, then to that time of terrible tribulation on the earth. We'll discuss which prophecies, if any, remain to be fulfilled before these events can occur. We'll also look at the Age of Grace. What is it and when will it end? We'll discuss exactly what will trigger the end of this current Age. That moment is known only to the Father. Even Jesus in his human nature said He didn't know the hour or the day of that event. This Age began with a mystery and a miracle and will end with a mystery and a miracle.
I believe we live in the most exciting time in history. And maybe one of the scariest! That's why it's urgent that you make certain your family, your friends, your neighbors, and your co-workers have received the gift of pardon that Jesus makes available to them. The events I discuss this week could happen at any moment, even today. You do not want them to be on this earth after the Body of Christ departs!

On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," as we approach the "deadline" for Iran to begin serious talks with the West, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave us a preview of coming attractions. He told the press, "In our view, the nuclear question is finished. We will not negotiate...." Even the International Atomic Energy Agency says their talks with Iran are at a "stalemate."
To drive the point home, Ahmadinejad nominated as his new Defense Minister a man who is on Interpol's most-wanted list. Ahmad Vahidi participated in the bombing of the Argentine-Israel Mutual Association in Buenos Aires in 1994. 85 people died. Of the 21 cabinet nominees seeking confirmation, Iran's parliament gave Vahidi the strongest vote of confidence.
But he won't be lonely in the cabinet. Four other Ahmadinejad appointees have been associated with the Republican Guard's terrorist activities. One of them helped establish Hezbollah in Lebanon prior to their bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks there in 1983. 241 died.
Naturally, the astute observers and quick thinkers in our government instantly picked up on the importance of these Iranian appointments. Our spokesman warned Iran that by appointing these radicals to such important positions, Iran was sending "precisely the wrong message." I don't think I have the heart to tell the brilliant people now running our nation that perhaps Iran was sending exactly the message it wanted to send, but we're just too dumb to recognize it.
It's possible Hugo Chavez may soon lose interest in being dictator-for-life in Venezuela. Especially if his starring role in Oliver Stone's new fawning documentary makes him an international movie star. Chavez was the hit of the Venice International Film Festival. America is really fortunate to have someone like Oliver Stone to make certain we hear the truth about what a quality guy and compassionate leader Chavez is. If not, we might have just assumed that he was an arrogant and scheming Socialist revolutionary like his buddies Daniel Ortega, Evo Morales, and Fidel you-know-who (that other benevolent grandfather-type in the Caribbean).
And to remind us that he's not just a pretty face, Chavez stopped by Ahmadinejad's house on his way to Italy to assure Mahmoud that he'll bust any new sanctions the West places on Iran. He'll ship him the refined gasoline he needs and even allow the Iranians to replicate their nuclear program in Venezuela.
Finally, I'll finish up my discussion of some of the pertinent questions regarding the order of events and timeline preceding the Rapture of the Church and the onset of the Great Tribulation. You don't want to miss my discussion... or the Rapture!

The Pennsylvania attorney who challenged the Democratic presidential candidate’s “natural birth” has claimed victory in his federal suit because the defendants, Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee, have failed to answer the suit within the required 30 days, thereby losing by default.
On October 21, Berg announced that Obama and the DNC “admitted” to, by way of failure of timely response to “requests for admissions,” the specific requests in the federal lawsuit. “Obama is not qualified to be president, and therefore he must immediately withdraw his candidacy for president, and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate,” Berg told AFP.
