what ammo to buy next?

what ammo to buy for the upcoming nazi/communist/al-quaida/criminal/zombie onslaught?

if you got as many irons as me --it is difficult to decide on what ammo to stock up on next --223? 5.45x39?, 7.62x39? 9mm or shotgun?

what would you stock up on first with only WEEKS left in the countdown?

Every time I buy any ammo..I get a brick or so of .22.

I started preping back in 2005 and continued until my employer locked the doors in April of 08.Ammo wise I have about 5k =762x39,3500=22lr,1500=45acp,500=9mm,400=.308,400= 12ga,and about 200=30/06.I have a Mec600jr for the scattergun and a single stage Lee for the brass. After paying my overhead I have about $700 left from my SSD checks to live on.Im looking to add ten more metal 30rd AK47 mags to my warchest when the next vender drops them to $9.95ea.I bought ten from Keepshooting back in July for that sale price.:)

YUP!

Anything that you can get for a good price, whatever you can't use can be traded!

I wish I'd put my 401k in ammo

AMMO? WTF you talking about WILLIS?

I picked the first one, basically what weldingmachine said is what I'm doing, prices have been high and I'm not buying it while it stays there.
What I have I'm not using or using very little of it, been shooting the 22s mostly for the past couple months, that's the next one I'm going to buy some more of in bulk.

i think i am in the "all the ammo i can find" more or less.

i am not short of anything but i still buy whatever i can find semi-reasonable.

i figure whatever happens ammo is not likely to go down in price anytime in the near future, and is likely to become very expensive or even unobtainable in the very short term.

so i play the odds.

I feel better now,,, I thought I was a slacker by only having 42K on hand with 2 1/2 K comeing,,,, guess all is good.
No panic here, but ,, I AM,, being way more thrifty lately,, not so much blasting off 1-2k at a time with the AR or AK so much anymore, but still shoot lots of 22's and handgun cals. still.

If I don't shoot at least every other day,,,,, I START JONES-ING!!!!!!!! :wow:AHHHHHH!!!!

I JUST LOVE THE SMELL OF GUN POWDER IN THE MORNING!!!!!:headbang:
