Digging in for hard times. The wife was finally able to get a job so two incomes is good until orders come-a-callin and we have to pack up and move again. I just hope I don't have to do anymore deployments to the Peoples' Republic of Kalifornia again. Send me to Iraq again, send me to Afghanistan again, just don't send me behind the curtain again then I will be in real trouble.

I'm self employed (I have a small welding shop).
Most of my commercial sub work is for medical companies, computer companies, & the auto industry.
In Oct of 08' I was working 70+ hours a week, & making great $$.
In Nov 08' I made $395.00 for the month..
In Dec, 08' I made $350 for the month & got a shitty job, for shitty $$..
I was there for almost 2 years, until I discovered craig's list & built up a new customer base. (I bought a portable welder & took it on the road).
Since then my commercial customers have gotten busier, but there are a lot of our monthly contract jobs that have been put on hold this month until Jan 2013.
Digging in..
I'll let ya know how next month plays out

Well on one hand.....our pain clinic has been without a doctor for three years so no meds. They hired a great new 65 year old AMERICAN Neuro Doc. After a NINE MONTH waiting list I got the call to come in. GREAT Back on the Dope & really getting around catching up projects that gathered dust & rust while I was suffering.
So....in that way I'm doing better now.
ON the other hand.......I also got the Steroid spine injections so I'm watching the news on the Menengitis!!! So far no Missouri...But do I trust them???????
It will be a cold day in hell before I get another one!!!!!

Under Dear Leader, I have never been better..
Very sadly as Block Captain..
I had to report a nice young couple and their small children, for not meeting quota..
We harvested our block garden and the young one was caught stealing potatoes.
I showed the family mercy and only sent the 8 year old off too education camp...
He gets out when he is 16, the family understood..

My personal income is down by $75K since 2008.
My Retirement savings are gone.
My Childrens' College Savings are wiped out.
My business is destroyed. Bankrupted in 2011.
Am I better off? Well, at least I'm not one of those 1% types now, so our strong black President will not take notice of me.
Am I better off? I am more concerned with whether or not I will be able to keep my house.

President has nothing to do with economic trouble. We have been riding the bubble sense the mid 80s just so that the scam of north american free trade can be implemented. Manufacturing jobs are gone long before Obama took the office.
Reason why Germany is not in depression and is still doing great, is because of their local manufacturing back bone, they make expensive stuff and export it, and lots of money moves into germany, economy grows.
If all the 'american' products are made in China and Mexico then how will US economy grow? Only the owners of those corporations will make money and not ordinary people.

Beauty of the hard core right wing capitalism. Do you realy think that another republican will not run you out of business just because you are member of NRA? Someone does better service than you did so thats why you lost your business not because of big O. And colledge is not for everyone, somebody still has to clean the floor of that walmart. |
