Exclamation Rules of the Land

First off, the Staff at Gunco.net would like to welcome you. We?re glad to see you?ve joined, or are thinking of joining. We advise all members to take a few moments to review the rules from time to time. Most of them are common sense; however there are some additional rules that have to be listed because there?s enough activity to warrant them. Here?s the bottom line: Use your common sense and everything should be fine. If you have any questions, don?t hesitate to PM one of the Moderators here.

Please also take a moment to review our User Agreement/Site Terms and our Privacy Statement found here:

http://www.gunco.net/site_terms.html

GENERAL FORUM GUIDELINES

1. Social Behavior
Please do not use unlawful, harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable language toward members of this forum or anyone else anywhere else.

Please think before you submit a comment - Would you feel offended if somebody said to you what you just wrote? If so, re-write it. If you?re not sure, re-write it.

This is an adult forum, therefore adult language is used. If you are easily offended, this forum isn't for you. This doesn?t mean every other word can annoyingly contain profanity. Please keep it to a minimum.

2. Illegal Content/Misuse
Please do not violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation when using forums and/or Gunco.net Depot. Remember, this is a public website and ANYONE may be reading.

3. Spamming, Power posting, and Advertising
Only post if you have something valuable to add to the ongoing conversation. Refrain from posting messages solely to get people to visit an external link (such as a personal website), especially if you are a new user to this forum. Refrain from posting advertisements of any form (commercial or non-commercial) if it is not related to an ongoing discussion.

6. Multiple Accounts
One account per user. If we catch you with multiple accounts, particularly if you are using them to start flame wars with yourself and others, you will be banned. If you have issues with your existing account, our staff will be more than happy to assist you ? simply send one of the moderators a PM and they?ll respond promptly.

Gunco.net Depot and Advertising Guidelines

1. Forum Advertising
Please refrain from advertising or selling in the forums. If you wish to sell/advertise items/services, take a moment to register at the Gunco.net Classifieds Depot ? that area is designed for this purpose. Please click here to view the classifieds.

Now if you have some ads running in the Depot and wish to let others know in the forums, you may do so to an extent. Please do not spam advertisements in the forums.

Here are some general rules for the Depot:

Compliance with Laws; Fraud. The Site and Services only may be used for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations regarding use of the Services, including in regard to selling, and purchasing items. You may not register under a false name or use an invalid or unauthorized credit card. You may not sell or purchase under a false name, impersonate any participant, or use another participant's password(s). Such fraudulent conduct is a violation of federal and state laws. Fraudulent conduct may be reported to law enforcement, and Gunco.net will cooperate to ensure that violators are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Unauthorized Firearm Transfers and Prohibited Items. Sellers, buyers and traders will abide by all federal, state and local laws regarding weapon ownership and transfer, including ownership and transfer of parts and other regulated items. Gunco.net, its owners, employees, agents, and assigns assume absolutely no responsibility for any accuracy, safety, condition, legality, fitness for a particular use or purpose, warranty, of any item sold, traded, transfered and or conveyed.

At this time the sale of FFL type items are not allowed.

There's an edit button. Just clear out a post if you want.

You're allowed to post anywhere you can. When a threads locked you can't -- unable to-- post there.

Just spend some time with it. It's pretty intuitive.

It depends on what you want to ask. If it is a "general" question or one that is not covered by a sub forum you can post it in the general disscussion area.

or feel free to PM any site staff

hello, Frogman - welcome to Gunco.

See, even Gunco is underlined, so who needs nsty spell check anyways?!

To be serious, i don't think there is a spell check, it would be nice...

This is 'work-around' territory... i copy the underlined words into
my Mail program, spell check there and return to the text box and post,
corrected.

I can't think of a slower way. Perhaps someone else can. ...
