Default NORINCO AK-47 PRICE CHECK PLEASE.

Kit is 15yrs old and still in kosmoline. Sitll in origonal shipping carton.
Guy who bought it got it for an investment just before the gun ban. I got a tip from a girl I know. Called him and he wants to sell.
Guy does not know AKs and all he knows is it is an Norinco AKM AK-47 kit.
Any help on price to offer would be appreciated. 4th.
Not even sure I want it so let me know if someone is interested.

I have no idea? To me a Norinco is a Norinco because of the markings on the receiver.
Offer him $150 to start.

Most preban guns are in the 1200- 1500 buck range depending on condition. Thats with the bayo lug. Of course what you offer the guy is up to you. I'd just ask him what he wants for it and work from there. I bought a coin from a coin dealer knowing it was worth 300 bucks (I read that it was going for that price in numismatic news) I asked him if he had any new error coins in and he said he bought one that day I asked him how much he paid he said 25 bucks and I asked him if he wanted to sell it he said he would take 50 bucks I asked him if he was sure he said yeah. I sent it out and had it graded and encapsulated. He was happy with doubling his money. I walked out of there with a clean conscience. I gave him what he wanted he was happy. I did alot of coins from him.

with this being a kit and not the whole gun - try to get it for $150.

I'm sure it would be worth more - especially if it is like the two that you got and built up.

Thumbs up Thanks Guys

Turns out it is for sure pre ban. Guy is a retired deputy and a Nam Vet from Orlando.
I guess the whole crew down Orlando way bought them just before the "Clinton gun ban." Cops like guns too.
I have 3 pre ban Chinese. Anyone interested in this let me know.
Too many guns here, don't need no mo right now.
Sniper and Coils. I think LT. is a little closer to the real deal.
"Yeah officer. My buddy Coils and Sniper said we aint giving you more the $150 for that piece of junk. You have a problem with that?"

Post P.Ms coming in.

O.K. he is asking $450.00 for the weapon. Sorry no picts.
If someone is interested, I am not, I have 3. Don't need no mo. Let me know and I will put you in touch with the guy. With his permission you can call and deal direct. I have not met him but he seems like a decent guy.
Once you hook up with him your on your own.
This is a kit as far as I know. Not a complete weapon.
If someone knows Akron Armory please get in touch with him. I talked to him and I know he was looking for one.

The only Chinese kits I have seen have been cut up mak90's, I have never seen a pre-ban Chinese kit myself. Too bad he can;t do pics. The Mak90 kits usually go for around 200 from what I've seen.

The info I know I explained in my other posts. I have 3 pre-ban Chinese and a room full of parts and AKs. No more for me for awhile. Well maybe one or two.
I ended up talking to the Nam Vet for 1/2 hour on the phone. I am good friends with his now girl friend. This post went up to help the family here on the sight. I am making NO money on this deal. Hell I usually loose money on my gun deals.
I must stress I have NOT seen this weapon. And he said he aint sticking his hands in that grease to check it out. It has been in his closet for 15yrs.
Out of fairness to him. If you P.M me I will call him and then give you his phone #.
I asked if it was milled, stamped what. He did not know. Just said it was in the origonal shipping box and ain't been touched for 15yrs.
P.M. me and I am sure he will talk to you. You be the judge.

We were posting at the same time. I have put this pict. up a dozen times. But here are two of mine built from type 56-1 Chinese. The MAK 90 I have is burried in there somewhere.
Go to the Chinese AK forum here and we all had a long discussion on the Chinese kits. One of our guys even worked in the Chinese factory and really knew his Chinese weapons. Check out the Chinese gun forum for more info.
These two came as is. I did nothing to the wood. I got these for a real good price, but that was many moons ago. Had to use a Global 1.5 reciever as the recievers on these are thicker.
I have since repaired the deck.

Post Chinese Bayos

Those guys were good and they told me to get a Chinese bayo for them.
The type 56-1 had the standard bayo lug, not the pig sticker fitting. They are available from Apex. I think that is where I got them. But they seem to be a little bigger for the Chinese gun and fit right on. Is this what he has I don't know. You must talk to him.
