Default Why delete the price after it sells?

Ive noticed lately alot of people go back and remove the selling price after someone says they will take the item. I dont understand why they would do that.

First off, if I buy something and notice the next day that the price is gone, im going to get nervous. Im going to worry that the seller has some Charlie Wenzel/ Patriot Game scam planned.

Also, browsing the forums helps you learn the going prices on items. Its not very easy to learn the going price of something you want when everytime you see one listed ,its marked sold and the price is allready gone.

I think the price should be left as record of your agreement at least, and if it helps people learn fair pricing of items thats good too.

Quoting the origional add is the obvious solution, but why do people remove the price in the first place?

Funny you should bring this up, I just made a purchase on another board and went to double check the price and it was deleted and SPF added. So I had to e-mail the seller again.

.

I too like being able to check the going price for things by looking at sold items, but many people are of the mind the price is between them and the buyer and is no one's business.

Anymore when I even <think> I might buy something I make a PDF of the ad for my records before I start communications.

.

+2. I hate seeing the price gone because sometimes you wonder if you might have bought it if you knew what the going rate was.

I had gotten so many PM's lately that ads that were sold keep hanging around.....That I started jumping ads that are just sold to get them cleaned up.

Sorry......I may have you ad because a few ads that said SPF I achived instead of deleting.
