Chukkers are really not down in the fields with pheasants and such, they are in the hills, rocky areas they LOVE and they are not easy critters to hunt, but if you want to hunt them they can be found. There are quite a few places around here that have chukkers in them. Wind swept hills, rocky areas on those hills (for cover and protection from the wind, and snow)
My old teaching bud used to raise them with his students and then the Fish and Game and the students would them release them.
