Default July 4th P-Dog Shoot

My wife and I headed up to our ranch property for the July 4th weekend to relax and have some fun.

I thought that I would post a few pictures of our little adventure for everyone to see. We did a little P-Dog shooting using an Romy "G" (iron sights) and a SAR-3 with an Aimpoint clone. No scopes on this trip. All ranging was accomplished by a small set of 8x23 Bushnell binoculars and excellent directions on where the shot hit. The wife is getting very good at this.

We only had one hit for the weekend but using what we had at the distances we were shooting at, I felt that was good enough. We did have many, many "close" shots and made the little critter's run like hell. Had we been using my LR P-Dog rifle it would have been a different story. But using what we had made it a lot more fun.

And now the pictures...

Setting up...

Plenty of Mule Deer...

The rifles...

The P-Dogs...(zoom)

P-Dogs...(non-zoom)
