...but a 32-pound raccoon was just sitting by a tree, not scared by me at all. he tried to jump away when i poked him with my ramrod, but his back legs (both) collapsed under him. They looked broken, so I went ahead and put him down (coyotes were just going to do it anyway later on, and they would probably end up eating him before he was dead) to spare him further pain.
I'm gonna get a full body mount done.
No deer for my first day out muzzleloading...
