Has anyone tried these new blackpowder projectilles?
I just found these in the store, I always had a problem raming down my blackpowder gun and they say it only takes 29lbs of pressure to load these.
It is a full 50cal. thats a lot of bullit.
Just getting ready for deer season & thought I would try something new.

Thats the first I've seen of them. They look like the old hollow base bullets that the base expands up to bore diameter on firing. I've used the sabots since the early 90's and have been pleased with them. The plastic fouling is alot easier to get out than lead or copper that can be left in the bore. You would think that if you didn't get the copper fouling out perhaps it would trap the corossive black powder underneath and possibly pit the barrel? Let us know what you think about them, they look interesting.
I will try to get to the range this weekend, and give these a try.
All I have to test these with is a cheep Traditions muzzle loader with scope, but it shoots good. Ill let you know how they compare to sabots and belted ammo. I would like to put them to the test over 150 to 200 yds but I only have a 100 yd range, so that will be the best I can do. It will also give me a chance to try the Remington Accu-Tip saboted slug through of my slug barrel.
