It is really cold down here in Florida. This guy has been coming to my clothes dryer each day to sleep.
Guess he likes the warmth of the dryer???
He is really really friendly but gets real mad when my cats poke at him.
Makes a funny noise with his tail.
What the heck is this thing???

Seriously, I believe it's an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake.. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
and YES, it's poisonous..
Since I've lived in the Southwest for over 20 years now, I got a huge laugh out of "Makes a funny noise with his tail. "
Western Diamondback rattlesnakes are almost as common as the mice they eat.. the Eastern ones are not very common, but they're not listed as "endangered".. but I've had people back east tell me that they were going to turn me in when I told them I shot a rattlesnake (average about 1 per year I take out)
It's a Daytona Diamondback.Don't stare into it's eyes.It can put ya to sleep ifin ya look in it's eyes.

Now that is an alligator bait worm. Those things on his tail are to bring gators faster. They are fairly rare in FL as the gators are almost extinct. That is a nice looking rattler, that will make a nice hat band.

So far he likes milk, little mice and lizards.
My alligator buddies are hibernating now with the cold weather. So it gets lonely down here in the swamps.
I put a mouse in front of him and "Wow" was he quick. Never seen anything like that. Took it rite out of my hand. Damn fast.
The old lady said I can keep him, But, he has too stay outside. Will he be O.K. with this cold weather??
