Anybody watch that show where the guy travels the World collecting snakes.
This guy grew up in Africa. Last night it was on and he spent 10 days in a glass room in Las Vegas with 100 poisonous snakes.
Even slept in the room with them. Up high on a bunk bed.
Guy is doing it to promote endangered species.
He travels to collect venom for anti-venom.
Yes I do believe the Eastern Diamond back is protected down here. But not if you run them over.

Our Diamondbacks are the biggest in the Country I guess. The one pictured stretches out to about 5 feet when he is unfrozen.

7 to 8 footers are not that uncommon here.
I live in the swamp and they dont like it too wet so they dont come this way too often.
But about a 1/4 mile east you can see all you want.
We get the Water Moccasins here in the swamp.
Pygmy rattlers are all over the place here. Small and yah cant hear them rattle.
Occasional coral snake I see on occasion. They get confused with the non poisonous King snake.
They have the venom of a Cobra, or so I am told. But they have to chew to inject the venom.
But not to worry. The alligators are eating them.
