Default Swordslinger's Custom knives

This is not an add. I am no longer able to control my hands enough to make knives any more. I just want to show off some of my knives and leather work. As soon as I recover enough to do TWO more knivesfor my children, Im going all out and making them. After all of these knives that I made and gave away, I kept putting off making them one, and now I cant. If you dont get the moral of that story then let me lay it out simple for ya. Make stuff for your kids first, because you may not be able to do it tommorow.

Here is one I made for a buddy of mine out West. Sorry, I dont have a picture of the blade on this one. I do have some other that are similar. (Every knife is different when you make your own)

Here is one similar. What you do not see is the deer head carved in the top of the antler base.

Here is some smaller skiners. When I took these, I was taking pictures manly of the leather work. So thats why you can see so many blades.

Here is Tommyhawk I did for a freind. I'll keep hunting for a pic of the blade.

Here is a picture of a knife, (again all you can see is the holster) that I made from a Mule Deer antler I picked up in Cannon City Colorado. I have the blade pic, I just forgot to scan it. Ill plan on putting it up tommorow. This one has some Gun Leather in it too.

More to come

Here are some picture of the blades that I did for the knife catalog. Some of the small ones are cut from old saw blades. Most of these blades came to me already hollow ground and shaped. All I had to do was polish and assemble. In case your wondering what the scribling on the reiasco (bottom of blade) is, one side is my name and the year, on the other side is the greek letter for Alpha-a Christian Cross-and the greek letter for Omega. The Big Boss!!! The Begining, and The End. The name of my "bidness" was, "The King's Helpers".

Here is a Bowie that I gave to my brother-in-law for his wedding. (Actually, I sold it to him for a nickle )

This one is a heck of a skiner, and great for capeing out a Trophy.

This one went to my wifes uncle.

This one went to a friend of mine named Paul. He's the one who put on the Wva Deer Camp with us. I think it has his name on the sheath, I cant tell.

Here is an example of the carving I do on the antler base once it is polished. This is one of the first carvings, since then, Ive learned to do it a little better, with more detail.

Those are beautiful!!

And I agree; make them for the kids, 50 years from now hand worked leather will give a continuity to your family like nothing else.

Thanks for clearing that up. Thats interesting and I love trivia like that. So now I know.
I feel right at home already. Thanks for all of the compliments. There is a friend of mine on another sight that makes some really nice knives. Far higher quality than anything I make. We gave him his own sub-forum. Here is the link. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] He is also a vet, and he is one of the guys who worked NYC after 9/11. I consider him a very fine man, a real man. We call him "Big'n" but his handel is BigUglyOne. And yes there is a story behind the name.
