Default Great mountain biking in CO yesterday.

Yesterday a friend and I headed up Captain Jack's Trail in North Cheyenne Canyon. Very fun time. I'm not really in shape yet so there was a little hike-a-bike when heart rate was red-lining, but it was good to get out. By the end of summer I hope to do laps on that trail loop.

About 8000ft give or take 500ft. Next time I'll bring the GPS.

I don't mean to hi-jack but I thought I would post a couple photo's.

North Bend Rail Trail
Here is a rail trail I road a couple years ago. Several train tunnels on it that were pretty cool, but otherwise a flat no thrills ride. Oh, I'm guessing it was at about Elev 700 BTW, I'm on the left.

Black Bear Mtn Bike Race
This is taken from a mountain bike race that he held about 10 minutes from my home. The picture does not do justice for the steepness of that hillside. Even a hillbilly like myself had a tough time walking down it without the use of hands. I posted it mainly to just show the trail conditions around here. Lots of rocks and roots. Actually, I only went down this particular trail once myself. After I walked 75% of it I decided to just skip it

Carb850, Cool pics man. We'll have to hook up for a ride sometime, somehow.

RedChevy, I'm in Colorado Springs now...same as Rew. Where are you going to visit?
