Women always do well fishing.
Why? Men carry a natural "predator" pheremone that transfers out thru skin, hair & breath that women dont have.
Animals super sensitive to smell such as fish, can pick it up off your lines leaders & bait. We're are talking parts per billion here.
Gives women a marked advantage over men.
There's also the anxiety issue. One of the reasons women make better shots than men. Men are more likely to lose the fish on the set due to over eagerness than the gentle touch of a woman.
Theres also the "Woman's intuition" factor where they just naturally seem to know when to set the hook and how hard to do it.
Dont be so hard on yourself. One of the best fishing trips I went on was with the wife on her due date.(beachball preggers.) We spent more time de-hooking fish and re baiting tahn we did with actual lines in water. Hauled in dozens but only kept the biggest three we caught.
Pheremones. Go figure.
