Talking Who likes Camping?

I like to get into the Blue Ridge Mtns this time of year for some camping. I'm old and lazy now so I take my pickup (4x4) and load some gear. I have propane, a propane burner, charcoal grill, tent, tables, inflatable mattress, my Great Danes and if I'm lucky, my wife.

I love camping in the the Mtns in the cool and cold weather. Late Jan starts getting too cold to get up in the morning.

When I was younger, I loved to backpack in the remote area's. About 5 years ago, I decided that was in my past.

Anybody else like to camp?????

I do, but don't get to do it too often anymore.

Man, I love camping...hardly ever get to...thats one reason I moved up to WA. Now that I can afford to get out of town...the rain is coming (and I have no car anymore).

Camping is great. Wish we had more time to do it. Always think of it at the last minute, and not ever ready. Really, we want to take the boat and camp near an awesome lake that's not real crowded.

Bull Shoals, Ark is one of the best. 120 mi+ long, no mosquitoes, crystal clear water, camping everywhere, no people.

Anyone recommend anywhere within a few hours of Pgh?

I get out everyweekend as much as possible,

Hiking fishing hunting camping you name it.Its great to live in an area and takeoff in any direction, drive 3-5 miles and be in a place where civilization does not exist.
