A policeman guards weapons confiscated from a paramilitary group during a raid in Medellin. At least 94 rifles and thousands of munitions and half a ton of cocaine were confiscated, authorities said.

Wow! I wonder if those m14's were given to the columbian military as some sort of aid?

Chances are this is the case, being that those are M-14s complete with the happy switch. However if it hits the news networks, you'll hear this spun only as weapons of US origin contributing to drug violence south of the border.

Didn't clinton give away the vast majority of M14's to other countries as part of "aid" while he was in office?

Yeah I remember when he sent thousands to Estonia in the 90s. Since these are machine guns they wouldn't ever be sold to the US public, but maybe could have been made into parts kits.

The stocks and trigger groups are missing from the one in the picture, maybe to render them "safe"?

yes these are SOME of the era clinton give away guns. they also gave away m-60s, m79s,m203's and m-16a1s.not counting heavy shit.

ol bill he slipped down colombia way gave away billions in military aid hardware and he also flew AF1 down there and delivered $5 billion in cash personally to fight the colombian drug war IIRC.

LOL! wanna bet old bill has a little bank account at the bank of colombia!??--LOL!
