UPS just drop big box off today,I been waiting for 2 weeks and it's finally here , I got me a Izzy H.B Kit from a member, it's looks great, I payed $780 shipped , did I do good ?
Here are few questions,
What kind of receiver I should use to build ? DSA? EP? DCI ?CAI ?
I never build FAL before, should I send it had someone build it ? or DIY ?

NICE kit !!!

DSA receiver - best forged receiver, I'd skip the cast receivers on your list and do the forged for strength.

DIY.....FAL rifles are a breeze compared to an AK. As far as difficulty, somewhere between assemblying an AR-15 and building an AK . You'll need FAL receiver wrench, barrel vise and headspace gauges (pins are even better and easier to use). To headspace you'll need to get locking shoulder of the correct thickness once you check headspace.

Jack,

I just did my first FAL build recently. They are way easier than AK's, but do require some tooling as mentioned above.
I did not plan on building more than one so I did not want the expense of tooling up for them. Fortunately I was able to borrow everything.

At minimum you will need a barrel vise, receiver wrench, go/no-go and pin gauges from @.257 to .262.
A barrel timing fixture is very nice to have but not mandatory.

Great looking kit!! I love mine it is my best shooter. it is easy to diy, just get headspace gages, you can use drills to get it set to figure out the bolt stop dimention.

Use all DSA parts. they are the best.

Hey Bluejack, nice kit! I got a Century arms izzy heavy barrel FAL 10 years ago for $499. It had the thumb hole stock and I had to buy the wood and other parts to make what you will have. Say, could you take a pic of the way the screw locks the front muzzle break on for me? I was using a small screw that wasn't too reliable.
